Photo Strips

When I was growing up one of my favorite things to do was to go to Woolworth's with my friends (am I dating myself here?) and sit in the little little black booth to get our pictures taken!! Those machines are few and far between, but luckily, there is one on the Ocean City boardwalk. Last summer we got our pictrues done there. I love this layout for the nostalgia it brings and how it bridges the past and the present.

Hopefully, we'll be heading to the beach soon and have some more photos taken!

Here is my CPS card for this past week. I finally got my hands on MM 5th Avenue and just love it. The colors are amazing.

Have a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!

Threaded Water Punch

Have you seen it? It's so cool! I couldn't find a picture but it creates scalloped borders with the little holes in the middle of the scallops. It's a hot item right now. Unfortunately, I don't have one yet. But my friend Kelly Grundhauser does! And she's giving one away. Check out her blog for details!

Nothing new to share at the moment. I've been doing some purging and organizing in my scaproom. Here's a project that I can show you, though. It's in the April/May issue of Paper Crafts.

The photo is from my friend Cheryl's wedding.

And finally, my favorite photo from Easter. I loved Ryan's outfit. And it's his first time wearing a tie!!!

That's it for now. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Emma's Paperie

Have you checked out Emma's Paperie yet? My friend Cindy Smith recently opened this wonderful online store that focuses on paper crafted gifts. She has some really cute, unique items as well as the latest and greatest supplies. I'm so excited to be designing for her now along with the talented Melissa Phillips, Jessica Witty and Lisa Dorsey.

Here are the first two projects that I've done for EP. Check out the blog for detailed supply lists and even more inspiring ideas!

This is a gift box for a baby gift. I thought a cute onesie or even a gift card could be tucked inside of it.

And here is a gift bag using a photograph. Aren't those flowers pretty? They're from my friend Karen's bridal shower. It's hard to see in the photo, but I took the handles off the bag and replaced them with some really pretty wide ribbon.

Finally, I hope you all have a blessed Easter! I'm having 15 people for dinner on Sunday so I'm off to shop this morning. I'll leave you with one of my favorite projects from last year.

I used all Paper Salon products on it.
Have a great weekend!!!

PC 101

I just got my copy of PC 101. I can't put it down! This is seriously my new favorite issue. It's just packed with techniques and fresh ideas for how to use products. I loved working on this issue and am thrilled to see it in print. This is one idea book that you have to add to your collection. I think I'm going to keep mine out on my table and flip through it when I start a project.

Here is my favorite project that is in the book:

It's a freindship journal. I doodled on the bookplate, the chipboard frame and the buttons.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Tagged. Twice!

Well, I've never been tagged before, but yesterday I was tagged TWICE! ( I feel so popular...hee, hee!)

Anyway, the first tag comes from Roree. It's the You Make My Day award. Thanks, Roree, you make mine, too!

So, now I have to pass this on.

Kim
Nicole
Kristin
Christine
Laura

You girls make my day!!! ;) Now, here's what you have to do....

*Write a post with links to 5 blogs you find of interest and that inspire you.
*Acknowledge the post of the award giver.
*Display the logo "You Make My Day".
*Tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news.

The second tag comes from Betsy! This one seems to be going around....
So, here are my 7 random facts:

1)I love to watch Lost. It's the only TV show that I follow regularly.
2)I could live on Margaritas and chips and salsa.
3)I talk to my mom at least 3 times a day. And if she doesn't call me to check in, I've been known to call her neighbors to check on her.
4)When I was four, I pushed my brother off the steps causing him to lose a tooth. I STILL feel guilty about it forty years later!
5) I was the captain of my high school cheeleading team (and yes, I dated the captain of the football team at one point...)
6) My dream is to go to the Greek Islands.
7) I don't own an iPod and have no idea how to download music.

So now I have to tag 7 people. I'm going to hit up my Paper Salon buds! ;)

Fiona
Jen
Julia
Kelly
Melanie
Melissa
Sherry

If you've already been tagged, don't worry about playing along.

Finally, here are a couple of new layouts. I've been on a roll with summer pictures. We just sent in our check for the pool and I'm itching for it to be time to go!

This one is of Ryan and Jordan. I embellished to rubons with felt and brads.

This one is of Ryan, Jordan and Liv. I love that Cherry Arte paper and had been wanting to use it for a while. It's so fun to scrap pictures with girls so I can use lots of pink and flowers!!!

Well, that's all for today! (Pheeew, I feel like I've been typing forever.) Have a great day!

All the Trimmings

This week on CPS we were sponsored by The Embellishment Studio. Love their little kits. You have to check them out. Anyway, I used the trim on this card. Love the texture it brings to it.

This is my card from last week. It's all We R Memory Keepers.

And here is a card I did for the Queen and Company Blog. I used Pink Paislee on it, too. The felt was originally cream colored. But I sprayed Glimmer Mist on it and then sprinkled some glitter on it (do that quickly, before the Mist dries).

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

We Have a Winner

Congrats to Mandiannie! Ryan chose number 66 and that was you! Email me your address and I'll get the SR goodies out ASAP. ;)

Thanks to eveyrone who stopped by and left a comment. I loved reading them. ;)

Here are a couple of cards. As my friend Sherry posted on her blog, they're not the only thing I do. I just can't post my layouts (yet ;).

This one uses some fun, summer Creative Imaginations goodies:

And this one uses Paper Salon First Blush papers, Queen and Company felt and some Heidi Swapp bling.

Thanks for stopping by!

I Made a Header!

I'm so excited! I made a simple little header for my blog! Like it??? I used the Shabby Princess Vintage Florals kit to do it. I love playing around with digi stuff, though I just don't have the time to really explore it. Wish I did. Anyway, I think my blog has a fresher feel now.

So, in honor of my new look, I have a giveaway. Leave me a comment and I'll pick a name to win a Scenic Route Sumner Collection pack: (ETA-Post by Thursday at Midnight, I'll announce the winner on Friday)

I also spent some time adding more blog links. There are some WAAAAY talented people out there. Check them out
<<<<<------------------------!

Here are a few more of my Self Addressed designs for February. Sadly, these will be my last ones for SA. I wish I could be one of those people who had tons of time to scrap and create for lots of different people, but sadly my plate has gotten too full. I'll always love visiting SA, though and will continue to find tons of inspiration there.

That's all for now! Have a great day!
