Tissue Flowers

A while back, Lisa Pace had a great tutorial for some tissue flowers made from some old sewing patterns and flower dies. I loved the idea, so I've been making some of my own! I don't have the flower dies, so I've been handcutting circles. To make the flowers on this project, I also spritzed them with Sherbet Glimmer Mist and added some glitter. (I use a spray adhesive for that.) I've made these flowers for several other projects and love how they turned out.

I used Webster's paper on here. I also used some Tattered Angels chipboard that was spritzed with Sherbet and Meadow Glimmer Mists. All in all, it will be a fun Teacher Valentine set.

Speaking of fun, there will be lots of fun at Label Tulip this month. They are turning 2 and Cathy has lots up her sleeve. Here's your invitation!

Hope to see you there!
That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by!

New Websters

I have a couple of things to share with you today. I've been playing with the new Webster's line, Sweet as Cherry Pie. These papers are sooo fun. Just perfect for summertime pages and cards.

Here is a page I did of Ryan and his little buddy, Tyler. We had a cookout and they were swinging on the hammock having their corn on the cob. Does it get anymore 'summery' than that??? The papers were perfect for this photo.

I also used a Jenni Bowlin die cut paper on here. JB stuff works so well with Webster's. The flowers are Zva and so are the crystals. I colored them yellow to match.

Here is a card I did with the same line. I added the Papertrey Ink star stamps and buttons.

And here's another using a Maya Road frame covered in glitter, a PTI stamp and Jenni Bowlin button.

Finally, there are four more days until my challenge is over at Inspire Me! All you have to do is create a card and you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a whole line of Webster's Pages goodies. I've seen some of what's coming out for CHA and it's wonderful!!! Check here for all of the details: Webster's Challenge

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Flowers and Crystals

Flowers and crystals...that kind of sums up the cards I've made in the past week. I'm just addicted to these little Zva flowers and I love pairing them with the crystals. It's all about the bling!

This first card is my card for 2 Sketches 4 You this week. I rotated the sketch. The paper is Basic Grey and the trim is Making Memories. I used a Martha Stewart bird and creted the scallop around him using Jenni Bowlin crepe oaoer ribbon which I pleated and stitched.

This next card is for Dawn's challenge. Look at these YUMMY colors!!

Here's my take on the challenge. I finally broke out my PTI Guidleines 2 set and used Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet and Dark Chocolate over Vintage Cream cardstock. It was soooo much fun to create the background paper. Can't wait to do more. I added the ribbon and sentiment (both PTI) then I added the Zva flowers (told you I love them) and Zva crystals.

So, that's it for now. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day. ;)

CPS 121

Happy Wednesday! Where has this week gone? I kept meaning to update and the days have been slipping by. I'm working part time right now and between that and summer time fun stuff, I haven't been in my scraproom much! But, that's OK. We've been making memories. Yesterday we went cherry picking. Yum, I made the best crisp last night. And then the kids had the slip and slide out in the evening. It amazes me that they can play in freezing cold water and it doesn't even bother them!

Anyway, just a quick card today. I did this one for CPS this week. I used Making memories paper, K and Co. trim and PTI ribbon and stamp. The flowers and the gems are Zva, I colored them green with a Copic. The butterfly is Tattered Angles. I covered it with glitter, inked it and sprayed some Old Lace on it. Love that color!

Well, that's it for today! Thanks for stopping by!

Label Tulip part 2 and 2S4Y

When will this rain ever stop?? It seems like that's all we've had this week. Yesterday was our one break. And we definitely took advantage of it. Ryan went outside at dusk last night to catch fireflies. Watching him do this is one of my favorite things. I loved catching them as a child and seeing him participate in this rite of summer brings me such joy. Did you know that the bugs are only out for several weeks in the early summer when they are mating? There are lots of 'types' of fireflies and each has it's own 'signal'. The males fly around, while the females stay put. If a female sees the male flashing the correct signal, she flashes back letting him know she's a 'match'. Wouldn't it be nice if it were that easy for us?? ;)

So, first up is the second batch of my Label Tulip projects this month. This layout is the one I liked best. Ryan just learned how to climb a tree, so the page is about that. I used the wrapped wire from some Prima stars to make the branch for the bird.

This next page is about Ryan making Christmas cookies. I thought the Cosmo Cricket chipboard was perfect for it.

And finally, a fun card I made. I cut the flower from a sewing pattern, added Patina Glimmer Mist and some glitter, then finished it with a Cosmo Cricket chipboard center.

Here is my card made from this week's 2 Sketches 4 You sketch. I used the Tattered Angles Regal front frames and spritzed them with Lime Twist. Then I added some mica flakes and finished them off with Old Lace The paper is Little Yellow Bicycle, Making Memories and Jenni Bowlin. The flowers and pearls are Zva. The ribbon is SEI and the sticker is Melissa Frances.

Thanks ofr stopping by! Have a great day. :)

Label Tulip

This month's Label Tulip kits are filled with awesome goodies. If you love Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird line and Jenni Bowlin, you won't be disappointed! The gallery was amazing this month.
Here are a few of my creations...

This first page was the page I made for this month's challenge to create something about a 'treat' or 'candy'. I love these pics of Ryan at Christmastime making the gingerbread house.

The story behind this next page is a sweet one. Ryan was having such a bad day. He was whining and crying all afternoon because he was having 'issues' with the little girl I watch. He even wrote us a note (which I taped to the back of the page.) After dinner, Fran took him out back so they could talk. I had to clandestinely take photos from an upstairs window. He looks so serious...

Finally, I made this card for Ryan's teacher. I love the mix of the Sassafrass Lass and Cosmo.

I'll be back later in the week to post the rest of my projects!
Thanks for stopping by. ;)

Raspberry Suite #9

I hope you had a great weekend! We did. Among other things, we visited and joined the Philadelphia Zoo. Ryan is really into animals right now, so we know we'll get a lot of use out of it this summer. It was a lot of fun!

This week's Raspberry Suite Challenge was a lot of fun. We had to use New Leaf, Black and Cream. It's a great color combo! Here's my card:

The butterflies are Heidi Swapp and the big flourish stamp is from PTI's Fancy Flourishes. The sentiment is from the Wishing You set. The crystals are Zva.

This next card is one that I made for a friend's son. He just graduated from college. I used the Star Prints set for the stars and sentiment, a Maya Road chipboard frame that I glittered and Polka Dot basics for the border.

Don't forget to head over to Label Tulip tonight for the big reveal. Also, there is a fun way to win some goodies over there. Simply upload projects into the member's gallery. They can be made with the kit or without. Each month one of the DT members chooses a page for the team to lift. If your page is chosen, you could win a $10 gift certificate!

A Couple of New Things

We're finally done with school. And already we've been keeping ourselves busy. We're doing the summer reading program at the library and Ryan went and picked out his first prize yesterday. We also went to a great indoor play place with friends and the kids ran hard for over 3 hours. I love the free time that summer brings!

Speaking of summer, here is a WINTER page. ;) Just goes to show that you can scrap about any season any time. I used lots of Tattered Angels and Zva on this one. I created the background by spraying Riptide and Latte onto cardstock using Glimmer Screens. I also used some Glimmer Chips which I inked and added glitter to. I think the crystals add a really shimmery effect, perfect for a snow themed page!

I also have some Label Tulip sneak peeks for you. I used the Main Kit and the Rock Candy Add On kit this month. Let me tell you, these are some AWESOME kits. They will be revealed on the 15th. Last month's kit sold out almost right away, so be there early to get your's!!!

Here's a look at what I made:

More Tattered Angels

Today is Ryan's last day of Kindergarten. I can't believe it's over. While I'm looking forward to the slower pace of the summer, I'm so sad that he'll be starting school all day in September! They are still so young and the thought that we won't have our mornings to ourselves anymore and we won't be able to eat lunch together anymore makes me soooo sad. He doesn't even realize that his little life is going to change so much in a very short time....sigh.

so, onto more Tattered Angels projects. I created the background paper on this one by spritzing Latte and Sherbet over a Glimmer Screen. I also used one of the framed chipboard letters and some Zva crystals on it. The flowers are also Zva and have been spritzed with Glimmer Mist.

On this card, I used Rum Raisin on an old book page. I cut the circles out and attached them with a brad. The paper was stamped with PTI's Fancy Flourishes. The patterned Paper is Webster's.

Well, that's all for today. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Raspberry Suite Challenge 8/CPS

I love Dawn's color challenges. She picks the best combos. This week is no different. Here it is. Is that chair to die for or what?

Here is my card. I hate when my camera doesn't capture the colors corectly. The Raspberry Fizz is such a great color, definitely more pink than it looks here. I based the design on this one off this week's CPS sketch.

I used PTI Simply Stationery, Damask Designs and Mega Mixed Messages on here. I also used some Zva crystals (I colored the brown ones. They were originally clear and I used a Sharpie on them.)I also used a Tattered Angels Glimmer Chip.

Speaking of Tattered Angels, I'm sure you can tell from my projects that I just LOVE their products!!! Well, I'm so excited that I get to be their Guest Designer this month. The feature is HERE. There are a couple of 'technical difficulties' on the page right now, but hopefully they'll be fixed by the time you read this!

Here are a couple of the projects I created using TA's gorgeous stuff.

I spritzed the background of this card with Meadow Green and Latte. Then I stamped over it using Damask Designs. The butterfly was spritzed with Meadow Green and I added some glitter.

And here is another version of my butterfly card. I used Meadow Green and Sherbet on this one.

I have lots more Tattered Angels
things to show you soon.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
